lilith ma was born in china, adopted, and raised in new york city. as an asian american theatre artist, lilith is a staunch advocate for equity and inclusion in the arts, particularly with regards to representation of asian american voices in theatre. they believe that through theatre we wield incredible power to effect change through the stories we tell. lilith understands that it is our responsibility to convey stories that more truthfully reflect our diverse community onstage, and they feel that by challenging audiences’ perspectives, we expand the openness with which they engage with the world.

lilith is also a community organizer with youth against displacement and the national mobilization against sweatshops. they are a regular on the picket line boycotting the museum of chinese in america for its role in the rampant displacement of residents and small businesses in chinatown, and they are fighting to abolish the 24-hour workday in home care and put an end to wage theft and sweatshop conditions for workers across all industries. #boycottmoca #passthecwg #nomore24
